Two marathons in two weekends and a move to an ent

Two marathons in two weekends and a move to an entirely different city, yet still finishing 2nd Overall Female, Elizabeth Burch @lizzyannburch ran the Potomac River Run Marathon in 3:17:41!

We're aiming at a sub 3:10 now but the Spring heat didn't allow for it this time. She eased off the gas pedal knowing it was a bit too hot for a PR but still impressed regardless. Elizabeth is due for some recovery but she'll be back fairly quickly with some new numbers to chase.

Despite the warm conditions (84% humidity) at the Lincoln Half and Full Marathon, Brett Nickisch @bknick and Brian Hoffart @hoffs_insta put together some really great races.

Brett, picked up 3rd place Overall Female, running a 3 minute best in 3:07:30 for the Marathon!!! When she finished, her description of the race was, "That was rough." She's so tough and I think she ran a really smart race. We know she'll pull more time off in the future judging by her other PRs but she did really, really well fighting this one out

Brian has been in amazing shape for a while now too with near PRs in 5k races and a workout in which he probably could've run a 5k best twice over. He pulled a large 80 seconds off his Half Marathon time, running a 1:23:30. I think he'll drop another 90 seconds off if we got him some cooler air. He's been a workhorse all year.

We're so proud of these two and what they have done within this time of little racing. They know how to work for what they want and they'll get the results because they deserve it. Great job you two!

A very highly deserved half marathon PR at the KC

A very highly deserved half marathon PR at the KC Endurance Half Marathon and 5k; in fact the only PR due to the heat. Clayton Rainey @runninfool75 pulled a couple minutes off his best, running it in 1:33:59!

He's been chipping away at some good mileage and some massive workouts all Winter and Spring. In the process he's even dropped his 5k down to 19:23 which he hadn't seen since high school (his adult PR). Clayton always comes with the best attitude and works hard no matter the weather or how he's feeling.

Laura Eakin @runningeakin is a champ! This morning

Laura Eakin @runningeakin is a champ! This morning she picked up a new 5k PR of 18:15 (9 sec) all by herself since she won't be able to fit it into her busy weekend schedule! I'm positive with some additional competition she will crack an 18 minute 5k.

Only a few days prior she hammered out a 5th place Overall Female finish at the @trolleyrun with a killer time of 23:16 (5:49 mile pace).

Extending his range, Bryant Kurtz thought he'd try

Extending his range, Bryant Kurtz thought he'd try his hand at the Flatrock 50k last weekend. He delivered quite well, earning a 6th place finish and running the tough course in 6:20:26 on his very first ultra event!

Bryant has been fun to watch as he's run some other PRs during time trials in 1 mile (5:34) and 5k (19:03)...including a track 5k that he volunteered to hurt for 12.5 laps. Always positive and always looking ahead. Bryant is one of a kind.

After having to take the entire Winter off from any running, Kai Somasegaran has quickly found his fitness again this past weekend with a 5:53 mile (10 sec PR).

Kai has pulled off a whopping 20 seconds from his mile within just 3 races and inching his way back to the front of the pack. With big chunks of time taken off like that, we know he's got more coming.
